Still pretty wild that you held on to those!
I hold onto a lot of crap, most of it I end up chucking out but I'm glad I kept those
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've seen a couple of horror films in recent times that feel very trashy and enter that "so bad they are good" territory!
Extraterrestrial (2014)
Everyone knows how grey aliens abduct people. They paralyze them in the night and take them out of their bedroom silently so no one knows much about it....
However here in what feels like a late 90's alien abduction film - the greys are turned into huge monsters who violently and noisily chase people around, grabbing them with their long skinny arms.
I love how crazy this film is. There is one scene where a guy handcuffs himself to a tree to avoid being "sucked" up by the beam of light from the alien craft. It doesn't work and he is still pulled up - but his hand is left behind, ripped off and still attached to the tree. Once onboard the craft - he is then killed painfully by a classic 90s alien butt probe.
There's lots more crazy scenes in this film and the ending is brutal. Well worth watching. Trashy, bad but yet good 7/10
Cabin Fever (2002)
5 college students stay in a cabin in the woods (always a mistake!). Then one of them contracts a flesh eating disease and fear and paranoia start to rule. The best thing about this film is how stupid it is and how unlikeable all the students are. Even the one guy who seems nice and is the main character for a while is basically a bit of a creep.
I think this is actually meant to be a mild comedy horror but it comes across more as a horror film that has just been made so badly that it's funny. Terrible film but again, it's fun to watch 6/10
(if you half these ratings you roughly get the actual objective film score)
